Hi, I’m Meghan Kayata

Storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do.

But after more than 20 years in journalism, marketing, and communications, I've learned that good content isn't just about finding the right words. It's about knowing what you need to say, who needs to hear it, and why it matters.

I help businesses step back and look at the bigger picture: What's working? What's missing? Is your message clear? Are you reaching the right people? And what should you be doing with your content?

Sometimes that means auditing and refining what you already have. Sometimes it means building a strategy, strengthening your messaging, or creating content alongside you.

The goal is always the same: give you clearer content and a plan you can use.

I'm a little Type-A by nature (okay... maybe more than a little), so I genuinely enjoy organization, strategy, and turning a mess of ideas into something that makes sense. I take the work seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously. I believe the best partnerships are collaborative, practical, and built on good communication.

And one thing I'll probably always preach?

Words matter.

Your website, social media, emails, and other content are often the first impression someone has of your business. The right headline can make someone stop scrolling. A clearer message can turn a visitor into a customer. Sometimes the smallest tweak is the one that makes the biggest difference.

I'm also a firm believer that more words don't make better content. Better words do.

When I'm not working, you'll probably find me chasing my two boys, reading, or drinking another cup of coffee.

More Than Just a Writer

Good content starts with a good strategy.

I bring more than 20 years of experience in journalism, marketing, and communications to every project. That means I'm not just looking at the words on the page. I'm looking at the bigger picture: your audience, your goals, your messaging, and how all of your content works together.

My goal isn't to become something else you have to manage. It's to help you build a content foundation that works for your business long after our project is finished.

Sometimes you'll need me to create the content. Sometimes you'll need an expert eye, a clear plan, or a quarterly check-in to make sure you're still on track.

Ideally, you'll leave with better content, a clearer strategy, and the confidence to keep it going yourself.
